Birdie Bingo October 28, 2006

Castle Enterprises and Avian Health Network joined together to present "Birdie Bingo" on October 28, 2006 at the Pet Bird Extravaganza at the York Expo Center and Fair Grounds.

There was an information table that had handouts about Proventricular Dilatation Disease (PDD), handouts about AHN current fundraisers: "Coins for the Cause", and "Why Support the StopPDD Challenge" and information about the donated products.

Dan, the Bingo Man kept the numbers coming...

Many people played Bingo in support of Dr. Branson Ritchie's PDD research conducted by the Emerging Diseases Research Group at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine.

And here was the Grand Prize for the day that brought in a whopping amount of $180 just by itself!

The Birdie Bingo activity brought in $1465.70, "Coins for the Cause" collected $3.39, and we received a separate donation of $50.00, for a grand total of $1519.09!

Many thanks to all the places that donated products to Birdie Bingo, and to Castle Enterprises for offering to do this on behalf of Avian Health Network. When we all work together the birds win! ;0) We just can't say this enough - our supporters ARE GREAT!!!
